Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, after clearing immigration and customs, step into the receiving area where you will be met and assisted by Grand Travel Planner representative and transferred to the hotel for a Check-in. After Refreshment visit, Old Delhi: An ancient walled city. Here you will drive past the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India ; and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city.
Day 02 - Delhi
Morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of the New Delhi which includes visits to such sights as:
Qutab Minar- Qutub Minar is the highest stone tower in India. The construction of the Qutub Minar was started by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1199 and it was finished by his successor and son-in-law, Iltutmish. The Qutub Minar was named after the Sufi saint, Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki.
Humayun’s Tomb- After wandering in wilderness for 25 years, Humayun reoccupied Delhi in the year 1555 AD but he was not destined to rule any longer and died barely six months of his arrival, from a fall in his library, Sher Mandal. Humayun’s tomb was built by his widow, Hajji Begum around 1565 AD, Lotus Temple-Completed in 1986, the Bahai temple is set amidst pools and gardens, and adherents of any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate silently according to their own religion. The structure is in lotus shape so it often called the lotus temple. The view of the temple is very spectacular just before dusk when the temple is flood lit.

Later, continue with a drive through Embassy area, the Government buildings (1921-1930.) & visit Old Delhi.
Old Delhi: The City of Shahjahanabad was the capital of Shah Jahan but little remains of that old city. The Old Delhi or the walled city served as the capital for many emperors. Today, remains of the historical city are the gates like – Kashmiri Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Turkman Gate, Delhi gate. Near Delhi Gate is Feroz Shah Kotla, close to this is kept the Ashokan Pillar which was brought from Meerut by Feroz Shah Tughlaq.
Here you will drive past the Red Fort – Built in Red Sand stone this imposing fort is 3 kms in perimeter with the height of the wall varying from 18 to 30 meters at places. When the Red fort was being built Yamuna used to flow on its one sides and there were deep moats on the other. Today Yamuna flows almost a kilometer away from the fort and the moats have dried up.
Visit Raj Ghat- The Raj Ghat is one of the most visited ghats. A simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948.

Day 03 - Delhi-Jaipur By Road (259kms/5-6hrs)
Morning, after breakfast, leave by car for Jaipur and on arrival, transfer to Hotel.
Evening free to explore the colorful Jaipur market.
Day 04 - Jaipur
After breakfast, visit Amber Fort, the former capital of the royal Rajputs.
Afternoon, visit Jaipur City: Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds, a five-storied structure of pink sandstone with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. It was built in 1799 so that veiled royal woman could peer down unseen by the world through it s 593 stone screens. We proceed for a guided tour of the City Palace & Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens and the city. Next top the City Palace is the Solar Observatory – an astronomical treasure house, with solar device that gives accurate predictions till date. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the palace of Winds, Jantar Mantar & visit colourful Bazaar passing through the rose-pink residential and business area of Jaipur.
Day 05 - Jaipur-Ranthambore By Road (182Kms/3-4 hrs)
After Breakfast, drive to Ranthambore & transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, excursion to the park by canter to view the wildlife. Evening, visit Ranthambore Fort is a grandiose fort built during the medieval period at Ranthambore. You may find many ruined pavilions, walls and chhatris within the fort. The most attractive feature within the fort is the Ganesha Temple built in the 8th century AD. Thousands of devotees visit this temple. Lunch & Dinner at the hotel.
Day 06 - Ranthambore
After breakfast, excursion to the park by canter to view the wildlife. Afternoon, Free. Evening visit, Sawai Madhopur is famous for many shops of arts and crafts from where you can purchase paintings and other craft items. Here you will also find T-shirts, postcards, posters and greeting cards with pictures of tigers and other wild animals and birds of Ranthambore. Local fabrics, traditionally embroidered and mirrored clothes, Rajasthani turbans, puppets and other handicraft items are also on sale Lunch & Dinner at the hotel.
Day 07 - Ranthambore-Bharatpur By Road (225kms/4-5hrs)
Morning drive to Bharatpur& enroute visit Temple of Mahendipur Balaji , which is famous for treatment of supernatural power. Upon arrival at Bharatpur; check in hotel. Afterwards we make ourselves comfortable inside the Keoladeo Ghana National Park to closely watch the amazing bird life in this world heritage site. Bharatpur is home to India’s most famous bird sanctuary. A total of 400 species of birds have been recorded, most famous of which is the Siberian Crane.
Day 08 - Bharatpur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra By Road (55kms/1-2 hrs)
Early Morning visit the bird sanctuary. Afternoon, depart for Agra, en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri (40 kms.), built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 09 - Agra
After breakfast, visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb, the monument that is most important in Agra is the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah or “Baby Taj” as it is called sometimes.
Later, visit Agra Fort – the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the wall s and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.

Morning, after breakfast in time transfer to railway station to connect the train for JhansiDepart Agra by Train No.2001 At 0815 Hrs. Arrive Jhansi (Shatabdi Express) At 1040 Hrs. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer from Jhansi to Khajuraho by road (181 kms.), en-route visiting Orchha.
Day 11 Khajuraho-Bandhavgarh By Road (240kms/4-5hrs)
Morning, after breakfast, half day tour visiting the western group of temples of which the most important are the Chaunset Yogini temple dedicated to Goddess Kali and the Kandariya Mahadev Temple, 31 meters high, which has a fantastic range of sculptures including sensuous themes. The Chitragupta temple is dedicated to Surya-the sun God. Also visit other important temples like Vshwanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple and the Visha Temple, dedicated to Shiva, and the largest and most typical of temples. The world famous temples of Khajuraho are evident of the influence of Vaishnaism, Jainism, and tantrism. Afternoon, drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, wildlife reserve set amidst the Vindhyan ranges in Madhya Pradesh.

Day 13 Bandhavgarh-Kanha By Road (250kms/5hrs)
Morning drive to Kanha National Park & transfer to the hotel.
Kanha national Park is a tiger reserve that extends over 1945 sq. km. of undulating country in Madhya Pradesh. The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, the sloth bear, Barasingha and Indian wild dog. The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel “Jungle Book Evening at leisure. Lunch & Dinner at the Resort.
Day 14 - Kanha

Day 15 Kanha –Nagpur By Road (255hrs/4-5hrs) Nagpur/Delhi By Air 6E 136 (1805hrs/1940hrs)
Afternoon, drive to Nagpur airport from where you will catch a flight to Delhi. Depart for Delhi at 1805hrs by Flight 6E 136. Arrive Delhi at 1940hrs and transfer to the International airport to board your flight for onward journey with Sweet memories of India Trip.
